Common mistakes agents make

If you are having issues with the results of your statement analysis, here are a few items to take a look at to ensure that the software is being used correctly.

Current Fees-Make sure this number represents all fees on the statement.  In other words, the total amount that was deducted from the merchant's bank account as well as any fees that might have been taken out throughout the month if the merchant is on daily discount.

AMEX fees:
If the merchant is on the old ESA Amex program, then leave the AMEX fees at $0. You can still show the AMEX volume because our software knows not to include AMEX in the analysis if the AMEX fees are at $0.
If the merchant is on Opt Blue, then make sure you add up all line items associated with Amex including network fees, interchange fees, monthly fees, assessments, etc., and put the total amount of fees in the AMEX fees field.

Batches:
Believe it or not, people leave this blank all the time.  Please don't leave it blank!  If the statement does not provide a line item with the # of batches then you must add up the number of deposits that are listed on the statement.

Current Pricing:
Please make sure that you make the correct selection here.  If the merchant statement isn't very clear, then make sure you contact us so that we can help.

Miscellaneous Monthly fees:
If the merchant statement is on Interchange Plus, please make sure to add all of the Miscellaneous Monthly fees that you can identify on the statement.  Ex: Statement fee, PCI Non-Compliance fee, Online Reporting, etc. To add a fee, click on the "Add Fee" link just below the Interchange Markup field.

Pin Debit:
Make sure you have totaled all of the fees on the statement associated with Pin Debit.  Network fees, transaction fees, monthly access fees, etc.  Also, please make sure that you have the specific transaction fee for Pin Debit filled in appropriately.  Lastly, Clientvine will automatically deduct the total Pin Debit fees from the Current Fees field at the top of the screen.  That means that the Current Fees must include the Pin Debit fees or else the analysis will be inaccurate.
